    Prenatal Class

    In person- in the comfort of your home. Virtual sessions available.

    Health history, pregnancy, and any previous breastfeeding experiences.

    Provide evidence based education about how breastfeeding works, what to expect in the first few days and weeks after birth, and how to establish a good milk supply.

    Hands on demonstrations on breastfeeding positions, infant care, diapering, infant calming methods

    Develop a personalized feeding plan and answer questions about pumping, milk handling and storage, if applicable we will touch on alternative feeding methods that support your breastfeeding journey.

    Build confidence, identify any potential challenges early, and ensure that you and your partner feel prepared to start breastfeeding successfully once your baby arrives.

    Initial breastfeeding consult

    Obtain a detailed Maternal health history

    Observe a feeding session to assess the baby’s latch, suck, and positioning.

    Evaluate the baby’s weight and feeding patterns to check milk transfer and growth.

    Breast exam- addressing any discomforts and providing evidence based care

    Discuss your experience and address any concerns, and questions about feeding, pumping, or milk supply.

    Provide hands-on guidance to improve latch, positioning, and comfort.

    Create a follow-up plan for ongoing support and supply any referrals needed.

    Follow up

    Observe another feeding session to assess improvements in latch, positioning, and milk transfer.

    Reevaluate milk supply and discuss pumping or feeding schedules if applicable.

    Address any remaining issues, such as nipple pain, low supply, oversupply, or infant behavior at the breast.

    Adjust the care plan and provide continued education and reassurance.
