If you had a hospital delivery, the staff most likely instructed you on specific positions to nurse in, and for specific times. I believe in your natural ability to nurse your baby, I follow your lead and will offer suggestions based on your comfort level and your baby’s comfort.

Part of my evaluation will include doing a ‘weighted feed’- this simply means weighing your baby pre and post nursing. I will gather information about wet and poopy diapers- based on this information we will either keep things the same or make some changes best support your milk supply and your baby.
